Blogging You Say?
With the growth of digital use in the society, more and more companies and business are turning to digital and social marketing. The idea of marketing digitally and socially is so new yet it has grown so quickly and immersed itself in society so fast that businesses are just implementing said practices without using them properly. One said practice is blogging.
Hello friends, and welcome to The Digital Bean, your one-stop shop for anything digital. My name is Farah Abughazaleh. If you are curious as to know what my last name means, it means creative genius, digital marketing extraordinaire and search specialist. Just kidding.
So what better way to kick off this blog but with a post about blogging. So what is this blogging business that everyone is talking about and why is it so important? Well if you haven’t noticed, the first generation of bloggers, Facebookers and Social Media addicts have grown up and have now become a part of the buying market. This is the generation of the digital newspapers and RSS feeds. They spend more time reading on the internet and digitally than from books and papers. Books? Papers? What is this nonsense?
Anyways, so blogging in short is a way to connect with your consumers in an emotional way. Instead of just being a logo on a wrapper or the corner of computer screen, it’s a way for the consumer to identify and build a relationship with the company or brand. Many businesses make a number of mistakes when publishing a blog. They think that a blog is just another place to talk about themselves and their business and sell their products. Wrong. Those topics go under the ‘About’ section and ‘Product’ section of your website. A blog’s purpose is to engage with the consumer. Talk to them, ask them what they think, get feedback. This isn’t to say don’t mention your services; just don’t use your blog as another place to sell.
With that said, I bid you a great blogging experience. Blog-away friends.
